Baton Rouge to Host Virtual BizTech Expo
Baton Rouge’s an
nual BizTech Expo is taking a DIFFERENT approach to things this year. For the first time they are having a 5 day conference that will be completely virtual. The company putting on the event, Expos2, — who’s slogan is “real is so yesterday,” specializes in event consulting for both virtual & real-life events.
Also, something worth mentioning is that there is a new player in the field. The newbie, TechX2011 will hold a technology & innovation expo during the same week, October 4th-8th. Only this one will be a real-life conference at the Baton Rouge River Center. Both conferences will include seminars, exhibitors, and other resources just as any expo just on different platforms.
Interestingly, Antares Technology Solutions, whom in the past sponsored the BizTech Expo, has now switched to sponsoring the TechX2011 Conference. We are interested to see how this will turn out and how the two events will measure up against each other. Could a virtual playground be the new platform for these conferences or does real-life interaction still trump in the long run?
